Woman gives birth to boy at Maryland airport

Officials say a woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy in a restroom at a Maryland airport shortly after getting off her flight.

Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport spokesman Jonathan Dean says an officer helped the woman deliver the child Sunday afternoon on the floor of a restroom in Concourse D. Dean says Maryland Transpiration Authority Police and the airport's fire and rescue department responded to a call of a woman in labor around 2:20 p.m.

The woman and baby were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
